Why Choose Us for Flatbed UV Printing?
Display Quality Printing
We think it's important for your graphics to always give the best impression, no matter how they're viewed. Beware of grand format printers that crank out low resolution graphics on inferior materials as fast as they can to maximize their bottom line. We always print at display quality resolutions, and always use high quality materials, so your graphics look as great up close as they do from a distance!

UV Curable Flatbed Printing FAQ
What is UV Curable Flatbed Printing?
UV (Ultraviolet Light) Curable Flatbed Printers are specialized ink jet printers designed to print full color images onto a wide variety of large flat materials. As the uniquely formulated UV curable inks are being printed to the material, specialized ultraviolet lights 'cure' the inks, causing them to instantly harden and stick to the surface to which they're being printed.
What can be printed?
Almost anything that is reasonably flat, up to 5' x 10' in size can be printed either single or double-sided! There are many types of printing substrates available that are designed specifically for UV flatbed printing, including foam board, PVC board (Sintra), styrene, aluminum composite material, corrugated plastic and more. Additionally, exotic materials like wood, metal, glass, plastic, leather, fabrics, tile, flooring, and much more can be printed to create new and exciting design possibilities for exhibits, events, interior décor, retail and more. See the list above for examples of the materials that can be printed.
How are UV cured prints used?
In any environment where graphic communication is needed — in other words, just about everywhere! UV prints are used for signs, exhibit graphics, point of purchase displays, banners, flags, retail décor, interior design, backlit graphics, consumer products, posters, flooring, wallpaper and much more.
What is the resolution of the prints?
We have invested in modern, state-of-the-art equipment that will print up to 1200 x 1200 dot-per-inch (DPI) resolution. Our printer features an array of high-tech, 'greyscale' printheads that can lay down dots (or droplets) of ink at three different sizes during printing, producing images with incredible resolution and tone. Each printhead is capable of laying down ink droplets as small as 7 picoliters — that's an incredibly fine 7 trillionths of a liter!
How long will the prints last and will the colors fade?
Typical UV cured prints have an outdoor durability of at least 2 years without fading, or up to 5 years or more without fading when laminated. However, the specific environment and application in which the print is used will ultimately determine whether the print will last for more or less than 2 years. For indoor use, the prints will last for many years.
Are there any limitations?
Not too many! The main thing to keep in mind is that some materials may print unpredictably or may not end up being durable enough for real world use. We'll be happy to try just about anything that doesn't look like it's going to damage the printer! The only other requirements are that the material be able to be cleaned and free of contaminants; that it physically fits on the printer; and that the material is reasonably flat, without significant warping that could interfere with printing.
